Christina Dodd's "Thigh High" is a fast paced page
turner! I read this in record time considering I am having one of my
busiest weeks ever with my business. I picked it up every chance I got.
Christina's
characters are wonderfully quirky, delightfully dysfunctional and
lovable to their cores. Mac and Nessa are one of the best book-couples
I have read about in contemoprary fiction in a long time! The winding
plot roads of this book kept me on edge and eagerly wanting more.
The
description of post-Katrina New Orleans and its Mardi Gras are spot on
and I felt as though I had visited the 'Big Easy' after I finished.
Absolutely wonderful and highly recommended for your summer reading list!

Nessa Dahl always had the good sense to steer clear of trouble. Then
Jeremiah MacNaught showed up in New Orleans, determined to get to the
bottom of a string of bank robberies by two women wearing Mardi Gras
masks. Little does Nessa realize that the handsome investigator is
convinced she's involved with the crimes-or that he's willing to do
anything to get the truth. Even if it means taking the beautiful woman
he's convinced is a liar and a thief straight to bed...

Duty To Protect by Beth Cornelison is an emotionally
charged new Silhouette Romantic Suspense dealing with the sensitive
subject of domestic abuse. I felt that the author handled this story in
a sensitive and compassionate but also realistic manner...
I
found the story to be a fast paced and exciting page-turner filled with
with action and suspense. The two main characters Ginny and Riley are
very likable and engaging . But at the same time they are both troubled
by past events in their lives that may affect their ability to find
love and happiness with each other...
Crisis counselor Ginny
West confronted danger every day. But when a bomb blast trapped her in
a burning building, she never thought she'd make it out alive.
Just
in time, Riley Sinclair rescued her from the deadly blaze. The ruggedly
sensual firefighter awoke a different danger, arousing a need that
rocked her to her core.
Riley had risked his life to save Ginny.
And he'd do it again. Yet even as he swore to keep her safe, he
couldn't reveal his tragic secret. Until desire ignited…and a violent
stalker came after Ginny. Riley knew he had to share the truth about
his painful past…or jeopardize his duty to protect her.

Fire Fish by Davy Liu is a beautifully written and illustrated children's book, about three adorable little fish on a quest to find their missing parents. Along the way they encounter many new adventures and meet many new sea creatures some friendly and some very deadly.
One of the first things that struck me about this book is the absolutely breathtaking beauty of the illustrations. The second was that the story seemed somehow familiar and when I reached the end of the story I realised that it was inspired by the book of Exodus and told from the prospective of the sea creatures...
The timeless story and gorgeous artwork ensures this book will be a favorite with parents and children alike...
In this golden fable, three little fish, Sarai, RaaOn and Sesom, dare to embark on a grand and dangerous quest to find their hearts' desire. Their journey is inspired by the legend of the Fire Fish, mystical masters of the Bright Beyond.
Never more than a fin-flip away from deadly danger, they tumble from one breathtaking exploit to another, using the power of "the call" to guide them through a world bigger than they ever imagined.
A story of mythic power. There is a surprising twist to this fish tale that teaches timeless truth and ensures its future as a fireside classic.

Christine Warren is one of those authors who
consistently produce top quality books. And Walk on the Wild Side book
five of The Others series is no exception. This book is more of a stand
alone read, it still takes place in the world of the others, but with
completely different characters. This doesn't detract from the story at
all, but is important to know for some people who may be expecting
something different...
This book is filled with some of the most
interesting characters that I've read about in a long time. The
villains are truly evil & hateful and you'll quickly find yourself
wishing for them to get their just deserts...

last 24 years everything that she knew about herself is in fact a lie.

some of which may be due to her youth and inexperience. But in spite of
that she makes a good likable and engaging female lead...
The
male lead, Marcus Stewart is truly the ultimate alpha male. His
character is extremely likable, Strong and sexy but at the same time
never over-bearing...
